About Us
James Coleson,
Founder/Owner
Store founder, James Coleson, shaped his first surfboard in the garage of his home with a make shift board stand and limited supplies and knowledge. Shortly after the death of his father in early 2015, he turn to his passion of surfing and board building to establish his vision. From the small garage in his home, James expanded his dream and is now the owner of a large surfboard manufacturing facility in Virginia Beach VA where boards are crafted by hand by multiple in house shapers or cut on a CNC machine. Then glassed and distributed to the surf shops on the East Coast. James Founded "The Factory" in the beginning of 2020 and is motivated to inspire and unite the community through creative measures.
